About the artwork

A portrait of a seated male figure distorted in form, resting his cheek against his hand. He is wearing a light collared shirt paired with a tie and dark trousers, finished with a patterned pocket square detail on his chest. His other hand rests across his lap as he gazes forward against a deep, painterly backdrop. Rich umbers, burnt sienna, and terracotta with crisp creams, strokes of orange, salmon pinks, and dashes of yellow.
