About the artwork

A portrait of a seated male figure with angular features that are distorted in form. He is wearing a vibrant crimson jacket over a pale collared shirt, holding an open book in his hands. His face is painted in faceted planes of color with deep green accents in his hair, set against a warm peach background. Rich burgundy reds, earthy ochres, olive greens, crisp whites, and touches of salmon pink and cream.
