About the artwork

A portrait of a male figure from the chest up, distorted in form with an angular, slender silhouette. He raises both hands to adjust the brim of his hat, tilting his head slightly upward and to the side. The subject is dressed in a collared shirt with a tie and waistcoat. Set against a rich terracotta red background, the piece features expressive brushstrokes of cerulean blue, soft pink, creams, ochre, and earthy browns.
