About the artwork

A portrait of a seated female figure, distorted in form, looking toward the viewer with her arm bent and resting along a ledge. She has an exposed back and wears a dark burgundy evening dress featuring a tied bow detail over her shoulder. Her short brown hair frames an angular, tilted face with soft, expressive features. Rich wine reds, deep burgundies, warm ochres, burnt siennas, and soft peach and nude skin tones.
